Rangers: Now Recruiting
Whatever you was doing? Wherever you were? It's now irrelevant. You see a sudden flash of light, a sensation like you're suddenly made of nothingness, and a rush of electric energy where you think your body must be. There's just enough time and consciousness for you to think that this is frightening, or strange, or perhaps cool, but in a second your body is whole again and you're sprawled on the cold hard ground in the darkness.
The space you find yourself in is dark, save for the twinkling white lights like stars that adorn the walls. As others warp in just like you have, streaks of colored teleportation energy fading around the outlines of their bodies, a ring of light illuminates the central controls. A number of control panels surrounds a central platform, the tops of the panels standing about at waist-height for an adult human. Each panel's outline is lit by a colored streak of light.
A single shape stands on the central platform, hustling and bustling to each successive platform. It's not human---the head is shaped like two cymbals crushed together, the limbs move a little too stiffly, and brightly lit buttons line its torso. It suddenly turns to spot your character, its red visor fixed on you as surely as a human's eyes would be. The little robot throws up its hands, waving you over after a moment.
"Ai yai yai. Ah...what should I say? Oh, that's right. Welcome, humans! And...others. You have been chosen to become Power Rangers."
Congratulations, you're about to find out just what that means.
[ooc: Your character has been given a morpher and a promise that they'll know what to do when they morph. Feel free to talk amongst the other recruits, badger Alpha, accept or refuse the offer at your leisure. No matter what, though, the call of battle will soon reach you, and your character will be teleported out into the wider world (and the call of battle). Don't worry, you'll be back in the Hexagon soon enough.]

"Uh, that won't be necessary." He lifted his hands to show that he meant her now harm in a submissive gesture before he slowly lowers them to his sides.
"The gate brought you here. You are not being held against your will, but rather we need your help."

Really not feeling this place right now. They really hated being captured... especially after all that happened.
"Where am I by the by? Some messed up arcade?"

"Well, I knew beings that could have done it easily."
G took in what the person was saying before sighing, narrowing his eyes in annoyance. "I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the Unova region is nowhere on this planet..."
no subject
He extended a hand in a friendly gesture.
no subject
"Right, the tin can? Asshole's lucky I didn't scrap me from putting that fucking cage around me. I hate being caged..."

With emotions running hot, he let the cursing go. There wasn't much he could do about it without sounding like a jerk himself or even worse. "May I ask for your names?"
no subject
At the mention of names, he crossed his arms. "Call me G."
no subject
He returned the gesture with a nod, considering that his hand had gone ignored. "It's a pleasure to meet you, given the circumstances, G."
no subject
"Save the pleasure for when I figure wether I buy this whole bullshit and this chosen spiel the bolt bucket was spewing earlier. Can't say I'm in on this till I know what the hell's going on and even then, it'll be a coin toss anyways."
Straight to the point with G.

Lee moved to the side to give G some breathing room. The choice was theirs to make and force wasn't the way of the Rangers unless it was a force of evil that needed to be dealt with.
"There is a reason why we're here. Most likely, we will see soon enough what that reason is. I'm sorry I'm being cryptic, but that is how things go around here for the time being. There is a threat, I know that much."

She'll sit and listen to the briefing and gathers her collar morpher and studies it for a bit. More power? That's something she can get behind...

He only hoped that this war would end with the Rangers as triumphant this time.
