Rangers: Now Recruiting
Whatever you was doing? Wherever you were? It's now irrelevant. You see a sudden flash of light, a sensation like you're suddenly made of nothingness, and a rush of electric energy where you think your body must be. There's just enough time and consciousness for you to think that this is frightening, or strange, or perhaps cool, but in a second your body is whole again and you're sprawled on the cold hard ground in the darkness.
The space you find yourself in is dark, save for the twinkling white lights like stars that adorn the walls. As others warp in just like you have, streaks of colored teleportation energy fading around the outlines of their bodies, a ring of light illuminates the central controls. A number of control panels surrounds a central platform, the tops of the panels standing about at waist-height for an adult human. Each panel's outline is lit by a colored streak of light.
A single shape stands on the central platform, hustling and bustling to each successive platform. It's not human---the head is shaped like two cymbals crushed together, the limbs move a little too stiffly, and brightly lit buttons line its torso. It suddenly turns to spot your character, its red visor fixed on you as surely as a human's eyes would be. The little robot throws up its hands, waving you over after a moment.
"Ai yai yai. Ah...what should I say? Oh, that's right. Welcome, humans! And...others. You have been chosen to become Power Rangers."
Congratulations, you're about to find out just what that means.
[ooc: Your character has been given a morpher and a promise that they'll know what to do when they morph. Feel free to talk amongst the other recruits, badger Alpha, accept or refuse the offer at your leisure. No matter what, though, the call of battle will soon reach you, and your character will be teleported out into the wider world (and the call of battle). Don't worry, you'll be back in the Hexagon soon enough.]

Open-ish
The Zoroark quickly shifts into G and stands up hurriedly, brandishing claws and blue fire that crackles at his hands.
"What the fuck is this?! Who are you?! Someone better start talking before I start incinerating!"
Yes, Nightgale really doesn't like not knowing stuff. The last time she 'didn't know stuff' she was played like a fool and a tool.

Alpha presses a button, causing an electric cage to form around Nightgale. He's had it reinforced, but he hopes it's enough.
"I must ask that you refrain from violence. You have been recruited to become a Power Ranger, a superhero to protect this world. I will release you when you can calm down."

"Uh, that won't be necessary." He lifted his hands to show that he meant her now harm in a submissive gesture before he slowly lowers them to his sides.
"The gate brought you here. You are not being held against your will, but rather we need your help."

Alpha gets a weird look - as does the whole place. She's never quite seen such things before. The magic train she encountered when traveling with Filia comes close, but not quite.
"...'Power Rangers'? Just what're you talking about, little golem? And what makes you think yanking me away from my business is gonna make me wanna cooperate with you?!"
no subject
Alpha flaps his hands with worry. How can he make these humans understand? He knows they're emotional, but this is a little much.

robotstarscapekidnappingsecret baseeverything, Goku unslung his bo from his back in an instant, raising it up into a ready stance.CLEARLY ALPHA HAD TO BE SOME KIND OF WITCH.
Once he received even a cursory explanation, though, he seemed at least temporarily mollified, and sprang nimbly up on top of a row of controls (almost as tall as himself), poking at random buttons with the bo. He looked back at the morpher every now and then, then stuffed it into his pocket, all the better to fiddle with things he probably shouldn't be touching. "C'mon, take me back!"

She was left to stare at all these strange folk, watching them warily from near one of the control panels. She'd never seen anything like them before. No one else walked on two legs save Spike, and they sure weren't dragons.
"...is it me, or am I a little out of step 'round these parts?"

Pony or not, talking animals weren't actually all that rare where he'd come from. Heck, as long as she didn't turn him into hay or anything, maybe they could be friends! "Are you gonna stick around and be a Powermacallit?"

Before, he was chasing after the black market sellers of parts and weapons and now, nearly 30 years later, he was here again to finish what had begun. He turned from the globe toward Alpha 5.
"It seems that you and I have become a part of the world once again, yes?" The white he so often wore was his trademark along with his grey eyes and silver hair. "Where is Zordon?"
Last Lee remembered, Zordon was still alive.
no subject
Sorry, Lee, you won't be getting an answer to your question right away. Instead, you'll have a very surprised Alpha latching on. His emotional circuits are going haywire again...
"It's been so long since our last contact! Where have you been?"

He settled his hand on Alpha's shoulder as they talked, and when he broke apart to join the rest of the group, his face was solemn. Yesterday he was a Ranger in the past, in innocent times with evil just a minor threat. Now the world was on the brink of destruction and all he knew was gone.
He swallowed hard, clutching the morpher tightly in his hand. He was going in, he would help these new Rangers through, and then he would immediately get to work on making this right.
"I suppose I'm about to find out how possible it is to change time."
no subject
His own Morpher has been dormant for so long that he didn't think to grip it but it was with him. He turned to face Billy and stepped closer to the veteran Ranger. "Yes, as am I." Lee spoke softly.

Now there was this.
He didn't let his exasperation show as he scanned the crowd, wilting a little in relief when he spotted a familiar head of black hair. Yu approached Yukiko from behind, waiting until he was behind her before...
"I thought we were done with weird things happening."

Open~
He let out a soft breath as he looked around the room, having trouble hiding the curiosity he felt. There was... a lot of tech stuff here, making it all look like something out of a cheesy sci-fi flick from the 90s. Naturally, he loved it, and he wanted to run around and poke and prod and press every button and make lightsaber noises and generally be the geek that he was. Not that anyone would be able to tell this from the expression on his face; it didn't twitch from his usual, aside from maybe raising an eyebrow a twitch as he glanced around.
Well, at least he wasn't the only one here that didn't know what was going on. He's pretty sure they didn't all fall asleep on train rides though.
"...hunh."

Jerking her eyes up, Emily noticed complete change of scenery. This- this wasn't Shiba House. Everything was different from the old rustic home, with lots of blinking lights and tubes. Where was this?
Then came Alpha. Initially confused at the whole issue, Emily listened to the robot intently, her Samuraizer held firmly in her grip. The other Rangers were...gone?
Mia?
Mike?
Kevin?
Even Jayden?
And yet, she was here, without any memory of any of these horrible things. The Samurai Rangers were still fighting against the Nighloks. The others were still alive. So why weren't any of them called instead?
"Can I really do this on my own?" The pit in her stomach suggested otherwise.

"A bunch of us are sticking around, too!"

Alert!
"There's no more time to explain! The attack has begun. You'll be teleported to the site of the battle, but please eat what you can. You'll need your strength."

Re: Alert!
Way more, in fact, than one might assume from his small stature.
His table manners were somewhat lacking, however, and if there were any utensils offered, he sure wasn't using them.
